#517 Boys Like Girls, Motion City Soundtrack, The Cab, AND Maroon 5!?

Super duper awesome bands in one year!?

YES PLEASE!

I’ve forever been a Boys Like Girls fan :3

From the first time they came for MTV World Stage in August 2009.

And also when they came back for the Nokia X6 launch in January 2010, which I do not have pictures of coz my camera died on me -.-

Yeap, three visits over the period of FIVE months! I’ve been waiting for them to come back with a brand spanking new album! And they’re finally here againnnnn (insert super excited face)!

Oooooh, with a brand new bassist too! His name is Morgan.

Morgan is the one far right.

Bryan (BLG’s former bassist) went on to work on his own band, Early Morning Blues.

They’ll be performing with Motion City Soundtrack, a band that I have never heard of, but they’re pretty awesome too!

Here’s their first single from their latest album, Go.

They apparently have been around since 1997 lol. 15 years, and this is the first time I’ve heard of them. I feel like such a loser!

And of course, An Honest Mistake will also be performinggggg!

All that in July! And in September, the super hot Adam Levine will be coming againnnnn! T_T

If your ovaries don’t go boom at the sight of this picture, I.. don’t know. But I melted, died, and came back to life, only to melt all over again @_@

A band that I’ve JUST discovered early this year, The Cab, is also cominggggg! This concert will be one heck of a concert, that I will die if I don’t go. So, die die also must go!

I’m most probably getting the cheapest tickets, obviously because I can’t afford the YES zone 😦
But nevertheless, I’d still be there to watch them performmmmm – The Cab and Maroon 5!

Here’s the song from The Cab that instantly made me a fan :3

Oooooh, can’t waaaaait!

Now, to buy tickets for Boys Like Girls and save up for The Cab & Maroon 5!

#266 Hennessy Artistry, the Global Art of Mixing

When I got there, thank God Joshua and Jason was already there, or I would’ve felt so lost. After a while, everyone arrived and in we go!

The people i was with that night

The person who made it happen, Josh Lim 😀

Started off with..

Paul Freeman

I was actually listening to him while I was on my way to KLCC, the night before, and the night before. Love his songs.
After him was..

Hsiao Hung Jen

He did a pretty decent job. Just stood there pretending to listen to him. It was because I COULD NOT understand a single thing he was saying. After him, we went outside to get some air because it was getting really crowded inside. Michelle and I went in just in time for..

Lenka

Love her! She’s so cute in person! However, the highlight of the night was none other than..

Boys Like Girls (without Martin Johnson because he was too front!)

But here’s him now, Martin Johnson.

I was a sooper happy girl that night (:

Thanks again Josh for the opportunity!

We were told to dress up. I obviously didn’t. But these two people did and won themselves uber awesome prizes!

Avril Lavigne.

Jason Mraz. Haha, that’s Louis lah!

Okay, so here’s the deal.

DiGiMusic is DiGi’s latest service for their users.

Assuming you download songs like crazy, like me. Say you want to download about 50 songs. On iTunes, it costs about $0.99 per song. Exchange rate.. would make about RM4 per song. 50 songs would be RM200! =O
But with DiGiMusic, you’re only paying RM5 per month for unlimited music! Means, you can download MORE than 50 songs for ONLY RM5! Uber awesome? I know! Too add to the awesome-ness. You can download via both phone and pc!

So, what do you do with the songs you’ve downloaded? Create a playlist, categorised them however you want; according to genre, singer, whatever! Then you can share your wonderful playlist with your friends, spreading the love for music.
* Cue for musical notes to be flying around*

In addition to that, I’m sure every single one of us has Facebook or Twitter. With DiGiMusic, we can Facebook, Twitter AND download as much as we want to, with no data charges! Which means, our credit will only go to calls and texts. Oh, and also the monthly payment of ONLY RM5.

RM5 is so worth all this services. ESPECIALLY when DiGi is bringing down artists like The All-American Rejects for a free concert next month!
*Cue for “I Wanna” to come on and starts jumping around*
As a subscriber to DiGiMusic, you will get an invitation for the concerts sponsored by DiGi, meet and greets. Being a fan of erm, artists lol, meet and greets are like, the most uber thing that could happen. Like, seriously.

For more details on this service, visit http://digimusic.com.my/.

I’m getting myself a DiGi sim card 😛

District 9 Movie Premiere

Date : 12 August 2009
Time : 9.00pm – 11.00pm
Venue : Cathay Cineplex, E@Curve (or better known as Cineleisure)

Again, thanks to Nuffnang. Went to watch it with David Chin, a way for me to thank him for being in line for me.

The movie was just okay for me. I didn’t like the whole “nail peeling off” thing. Blood. All that. Not really my thing. But the movie overall was okay. I thought the ending was sweet, that Wikus, the main character, (wierd name, i know) still remembers his wife when he turned into a ehem, prawn. Haha, yeah, that’s what they called the aliens in the movie. Prawn. Funny as hell.

But but, the weapons the aliens used in the movie, awesomepossum. It was like hugeeeee! And awesome hehe.

Movie review on Louis’ blog.
